SEMINAR BY PROFESSOR DENNIS TAY
Join us for the upcoming Centre for the Humanities and Medicine Seminar by Prof. Dennis Tay.
Prof. Tay will explore how numerical simulation and large language models (LLMs) can be combined to generate simulated therapy talk to enhance therapeutic communication. Tracing the evolution of simulation from human role-play to AI dialogue, he will demonstrate how Monte Carlo simulation and LLMs create plausible conversation patterns based on real clinical data. He will also discuss practical applications for research and training, including handling missing data and generating diverse clinical scenarios.
